Jon Santos finding comfort in his marriage

For the first time, comedian Jon Santos revealed that he has been married to an Italian-American for three years.

Santos told ABS-CBN News that he and West Stewart, a waste recycling management expert who works as a consultant for a big company in the Philippines, tied the knot on Aug. 24, 2005 in Toronto, Canada where gay marriage is allowed.

"Bulgari ata or something. Kkb (kanya-kanyang bayad).. binili ko 'yong kanya, binili niya 'yong akin," Santos said, referring to their wedding rings.

He added: “Pag alam niyong pwede niyong pag-usapan ang US election tsaka yong rocking chair... magpalitan kayo ng adult diaper pag tanda niyo, you are probably doing things families are doing… I'm 43, he's 53 probably wala ng golden [anniversary] ito, swerte ng mag-silver, di ba?"

Santos described his husband as a “great man with a great heart.” He also said Stewart speaks only little Filipino.

two men marrying.... what's wrong with that?

Famous for his impersonation of personalities like Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos, he said he opted not to announce his marriage because he wanted it “private.”

Santos is set to appear on ABS-CBN’s upcoming teleserye "Humingi Ako Sa Langit" where he plays a psychiatrist. He will also have a show at the Music Museum titled "Da Spooftacular Showdown."

Jon Santos and his Canadian husband West Stewart

Dear Readers,

As you know, I'm also getting married to my amazing beautiful boyfriend in Canada.
Gay marriage is so wonderful if you're the type of person who wishes and dreams about being married to that special someone.
I think Jon is a legend for coming out with his touching story about love and marriage.
I also commend him for being so smart, and keeping it to himself for a while in order to ensure privacy.

Congratulations Jon and West.

I'm really happy for you both.

Me and M next!

Hehehehe
