After years of not going public with the issue, the Department of Health's National Epidemiology Center finally admits that, yes, the number of HIV and AIDS among PinoyMSMs qualify as an epidemic - high time (if not long overdue) considering a 96% jump from 2005 figures.

Despite a growing GLBTQI presence, the community in the Philippines continues to lack not just media representation, but a media of its own, thereby leaving representation largely to the hands of non-GLBTQIs.
At least until Outrage Magazine, the only GLBTQI publication in the Philippines.
