Initially making a name because of the so-called Gucci Gang (yes, that controversy involving the socialites/social climbers of Metro Manila, e.g. Celine Lopez, Tim Yap and DJ Montano), Brian Shane Gorrell has long become a staunch advocate of HIV and AIDS - mainly through his Web site (over 30 million hits, and counting), which he now uses to spread sexual health awareness, what, to this date, remains a major need in the Philippines, considering that up to 29 Filipinos are estimated to be infected with HIV every month (since 2008).
